If your camera and microphone aren't working, they may be blocked in your settings or your browser may be out of date. Here's how you can fix this.
This is a good first step because your browser may have an available update. Follow the link for instructions on how to update your browser.
Microsoft Edge - this browser updates automatically so you do not need to follow any steps.
When you open a site that uses your camera and microphone, a small box usually pops up asking if you'd like to give access to the site. You may have accidentally clicked "block" instead of "allow" but this is an easy fix.
If your camera and microphone are blocked in the browser, you may see a camera or microphone icon crossed out in your browser's address bar. Click this icon and click "Try Again"
You may also need to clear your cache to allow camera and microphone access. This will resolve the issue if another app's permissions are affecting altar or if you've blocked the camera in your browser settings. After clearing the cache you'll need to restart your computer.
