Connecting Twitch to Altar Live

Twitch is a live-streaming platform that allows gamers and content creators to build communities around their streaming.

With Twitch you can connect three kinds of video feeds to Altar Live:

1. Uploaded (pre-recorded)
2. Live video 
3. Premiered video

Notes:

• To stream with Twitch you need to have a streaming tool installed (Twitch Studio/OBS, etc.)

Connect a Live Twitch Video

Follow the steps listed below, to easily use Twitch with our Altar Live platform:

Step 1: Log in or Sign up to Twitch.

Step 2: Go to the streaming tool installed and set up the live stream. There you can click Go Live and see the stream started on your channel.

Step 3: Go to Twitch, click on the profile icon and click on the Channel section.

Step 4: You will see the live stream video on your channel. Click on the share button under the video.

Step 5: Choose the Copy URL option and click on it.

Connecting feed into Altar Live

Step 6: Open the Altar Live platform.

Step 7: Create an event as described here.

Step 8: On the Stream step, paste the URL copied from Twitch to the URL field.

Connect an Uploaded Video

You can connect an existing video on Twitch to an Altar Live event.

Step 1: Log in to Twitch.

Step 2: Find the video you are looking for and click on it.

Step 3: Click on the share button under the video.

Step 4: Choose the Copy URL option and click on it.

Step 6: Open the Altar Live platform.

Step 7: Create an event as described here.

Step 8: On the Stream step, paste the URL copied from Twitch to the URL field.
